This Kaaba gold door is 14cm wide and 19cm high within its frame. Inset and built up to provide some depth to the door and mimic the actual Kaaba (Ka’bah or Kabah) door. Its lightweight and easily hung on to a wall using the fixings provided on the back. The original Kaaba door is three metres high, two metres wide and half a metre deep. Our replica is covered in a gold metallic colour so that it shines which is intended to mimic the 280KG gold that is used on the actual Kaaba door.

The gold Kaaba door has a number of Quranic verses and inscriptions on the door itself. A black inlay background is used in the framed gold Kaaba door with the Quranic verses and inscriptions written in a gold colour on top. In the pre-Islamic era the Kaaba door didn’t exist. There was simply an entrance and an exit portal, which was later closed. The first reported Kaaba door was made by King Tubba (430CE) and it was made of wood.
